We went on the waterfalls tour and had an amazing experience and had the best authentic mole (along with other delicious foods) for lunch. Throughout the whole car ride and hike he was teaching us about the wildlife and his culture.

We then went on the snorkeling in the bays tour and he was able to show us and tell us about all the fish and answer any questions we had. My boyfriend and I were really craving Michelada’s and some fresh oysters and he was able to take us to a vendor on one of the beaches we went to and they were honestly the best I’ve ever had.

He also took us shopping and out to dinner and told us all about the history of the town center.

Alfonso was more than happy to take pictures of us on all of our excursions and send them to us afterwards as well. He was honestly the best part of our trip and it would definitely have been not as great of an experience if it weren’t for Alfonso

  Great communication and friendly. - So, I’m all about managing my expectations. However, Alfonso provided a service to rival all resort and cruise ship tour guides I’ve ever experienced.

First of... read more all, the communication was very responsive. Especially when getting closer to arrival. Our itinerary was agreed upon prior to arrival. Alfonso asked that we PayPal 20% deposit to secure the tours.

He provided a very intimate style tour for our group of 17. No one was left behind(which we’ve experienced before). Our rides were literally waiting for us prior to agreed time which allowed for earlier start.

While the itinerary was “set” the hualtulco weather thew us 1 curve ball. We were going on a bay tour, we were on the boat and paid for snorkel rentals. Once we left the harbor, the seas were a bit choppy and windy. Alfonso made the call to change up the activity for the day. So we got an early start to the waterfall tours which was in the other side of the city in the mountains. Went off with out a hitch.

Alfonso has his partners that host the tours to assist with making everything flow seamlessly. The waterfall tours were such a great time. We managed a group of 17, aging from 3 years old to 73 years old. Alfonso was able to manage all of the individual needs and still maintain line of sight of those that were more able bodied.

The lunch portion after the water falls were so much better then expected. The Molé was amazing, the pork just as juicy. And hand made tortillas chefs kiss-** I love everything spicy. So they gave me chopped habanero peppers on the side. Perfect touch of heat for me.

That ended a great day.

Our second tour, was the bay tour which which we originally attempted but weather didn’t permit. However, Poseidon’s fury didn’t defeat Alfonso this time! We made the bay tour went off without any hiccups. We recommend bringing some chips and snacks for the ride. But Victoria’s(beers) and waters were provided. When touring the bays, the locals are out selling snacks and drinks. Make sure to ask for double shot as the drinks unintentionally needed to be leaded.

Over all we had a wonderful time. Alfonso played a great deal in that. The tour experience was def appreciated and we’re definitely using his services again.
